Hello! Welcome to Melissa Shearer Photography!
After a year in the making, the Melissa Shearer Photography website and blog are finally live! I have high hopes to keep on top of this blog, so that I can share with you the stories behind the photos I’m taking. My plans for this blog also include giving you a peek into the life of a photographer, giving you tips and tricks for creating beautiful images yourself, and explaining confusing photography terms to you in real talk.
I was incredibly fortunate to have a number of wonderful clients in 2016 (take a look at their beautiful faces over there on the right). I feel my photography business is on the right track and I’m very much looking forward to everything that 2017 and beyond have in store.
Melissa Shearer Photography is your one stop shop! I hope to be with you to document those special moments in your life journey. Whether it’s portraits, couples and engagement photography, wedding photography, newborn photography, family portraits, or any other type of memories you are wishing to capture… I want to be the one to do it for you.
Alternatively, if you have a special event (personal or for your business), or are running a workshop or retreat, I can offer my photography services. The resulting photographs are yours to use to promote event coverage and in future marketing materials. Truly, the possibilities of how we can work together are endless!

Since starting Melissa Shearer Photography, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing:

- 4 newborns

- 1 seven-month old
- 3 first birthdays (including a cake smash!)
- 1 two-and-a-half year old
- 3 couples
- 1 yoga enthusiast
- 3 gorgeous friends
- 7 female entrepreneurs
- 3 dogs (1 lucky boy with his owner)
- 1 horse and his owner
- 3 families
- about a half-dozen corporate events
- 1 female entrepreneurship retreat
- Julia Child’s former summer cottage in Provence, France (!)
- countless beautiful destinations around the world (Africa to New Zealand, the Middle East to California, and more!)
Most noteworthy, I’ve even had the opportunity to have my photography submitted to Vogue! And most recently my photography has been featured on the cover of Elements of a Healthy Lifestyle Magazine!
What’s in store for Melissa Shearer Photography in 2017
My goal for 2017 is to step up my game – be more efficient on turn around times, get more bookings, more referrals and expand my business in all sorts of exciting ways. I have set up the Melissa Shearer Photography online store where you can purchase my travel photography as art pieces to showcase in your home, or office. Each month, I will release a set of new photographs that you can choose from and purchase in various formats! I’m also offering gift certificates (please inquire) if you’d like to purchase a session for a friend – whatever the occasion may be.
